Shajid has over 21 years’ business experience in both building surveying and project management acquired in the industrial, commercial and domestic property sectors. His portfolio of clients includes corporate companies, local authorities, landlords, local businesses and private individuals.
Shajid qualified as an RICS Registered Valuer and now specialises in residential surveys and valuations bringing a unique skill set developed in the wider industry. Shajid has developed a reputation for providing reasoned technical advice and reporting within short timescales to satisfy his client’s requirements.
Coverage: North West of England mainly Lancashire and Greater Manchester.
Stephen has over 35 years of building surveying experience gained through working in private practice and public service for a range of local authorities, housing associations and private companies.
He became a Chartered Surveyor in 1991 and now specialises in residential building surveys. Stephen has developed a detailed understanding of the construction industry both at a technical and professional level. He believes that a report should be written as if it was for oneself!
Stephen enjoys solving the “the story of the property” in order to be able to understand and explain how the building works and why certain issues have been caused. In addition to undertaking building pathology, Stephen is a registered valuer undertaking both private and mortgage valuation instructions.

Nitesh Bharadia is in charge of the IT strategy for Braeside Surveyors & Valuers Ltd.
Nitesh Bharadia has over 36 years industry experience working with some of the world’s largest Corporations, Government organisations and Consulting organisations.
Nitesh has a BSc (Hons) in Computer Systems and has previously worked in the City of London for various organisations including Reuters, Standard Chartered Bank, Swiss Bank Corp, Hill Samuel & UBS. He has also worked for Novell and Microsoft.
Nitesh now specialises in IT Infrastructure Security (Cyber Security), and has worked with various organisations including The United Nations in Geneva, Yamaha, security organisations across the world to resolve complex problems with IT related to Nuclear Submarines, Cyber Terrorists as well as the NHS in the UK.
We are very fortunate in having Nitesh looking after all our IT Infrastructure.
Cheryl joined the Braeside team in April 2021 to provide business support for the growing business. She has a BA (Hons) degree and brings an artistic creative dynamic to the practice in addition to her day-to-day role, which involves supporting the professional team of surveyors and engineers and the directors of the Firm.

Kristy joined Braeside in October 2022 to help provide business support for the growing business. She is responsible for the day to day running of the Computer Remote Management Systems (CRM’s).
She started working in the surveying industry in 2015 and has sales, customer service, managing and marketing experience. Kristy has a vital role in overseeing the smooth running of the CRM system which allows our clients to obtain quotes and survey updates of when surveys are getting booked in via the CRM portal.
Geoff firmly believes there is no substitute for experience and the ability to provide informative and clear surveys that are not simply a collection of unexplained defects set within a mass of exclusion clauses.
Over 30 years as a Chartered Building Surveyor and being the third generation of his family in the construction sector in Northamptonshire, Warwickshire and Buckinghamshire, contributes to that ability.
Having worked in both private practice and 15 years in London with one of the Country’s premier Landed Estates adds to a breadth of knowledge from Listed and Historic Buildings to the High Tech and environmentally responsible. Geoff was also appointed by RICS to be an Independent Arbitrator for defects on new houses.
As well as being a Building Surveyor Geoff is also a Registered Valuer.

Julia has over 25 years of commercial property experience within Corporate Strategic Advice, Property Management and Valuation gained through working in private practice and public service for a range of plcs, Limited Companies, Colleges, investment groups, individuals and a local authority. Her breadth of experience can result in alternative solutions to problems to reflect the needed outcome.
She will happily review detail, putting the pieces of the puzzle back into place to identify core issues and how to resolve them for the best outcome for each individual situation.
Julia is a registered RICS Counsellor for the APC process, commercial route.

Peter has over 45 years experience in the design and project management of residential, commercial and industrial structures: he has worked for large and small practices in an international capacity.
Peter has now decided to concentrate on domestic projects, large and small including all aspects of foundation design and structural alterations.
We are now fortunate in having Peter as part of our multi-disciplinary team.

Nina joined Braeside Surveyors in June 2020 to provide secretarial and admin support to the team and has over 25 years’ experience in providing secretarial support to surveyors. Her knowledge, attention to detail and turnaround times in getting draft reports back to the surveyors is second to none. Nina also supports the professional team of surveyors and is our first point of contact for the majority of our clients.
Wendy Lambert joined Braeside Surveyors in May 2021 as a typist and back office organizer which is a vital function within our team.
Wendy cannot just type; she has considerable expertise and certainly knows her bressummer beams from her lintels and her floor slabs from her decks!
She began working for Surveyors 15 years ago and has just about seen and heard most things about buildings and has the knowledge to combine our expertise into a report that is straightforward to understand.

Stephen brings over 40 years’ experience and knowledge to Braeside Surveyors. He firmly believes that a personal independent service is a key factor to offer every client.
For many years an assessor with the RICS examination scheme, working with Local Authority, in Private Practice as well as being self-employed Stephen can offer the necessary advice, structured to the needs of our customers.
Stephen’s relaxed professional manner provides an informative guiding insight into all aspects of property surveying for both experienced and novice purchasers.
Offering an advice based guidance throughout each report enables our clients the ability to make clear concise decisions with confidence.

Gary has been a Chartered Surveyor for 18 years and is also a registered valuer, and during this time he has gained experience in many aspects of residential and commercial surveying and valuations. He also has worked as an expert witness on a number of housing disrepair claims under the Landlord and Tenant Act 1985 and Defective Premises Act 1972, which included various types of defects affecting housing in the public sector. He has worked for large corporate firms and now focuses in undertaking Level 3 Building Surveys, Level 2 Home Buyers Reports and Valuations throughout London.
