Homebuyer Survey Bury

Homebuyer Report Bury

RICS recommends Homebuyer Reports for properties constructed in recently, featuring conventional building methods and seeming to be in good condition.

Good condition means moving in is possible with nothing beyond superficial restoration, like updating the interiors.

Consequently, Homebuyer Reports are generally appropriate for homes built from the 1920s onwards, without extensions, kept to an acceptable level, and limited to five bedrooms at most.

The assessment presents plain advice, bypassing drawn-out specialised expositions. Essential problems are pointed out, but smaller features like decoration and surface damage aren’t addressed thoroughly. Each part includes a ‘traffic light system’; a red signal indicates ‘Beware’, while green means satisfactory.

If a red signal appears, basic and direct recommendations are offered, which could suggest needing an additional assessment (such as from an expert firm) to get a practical quote for fixing or renewing that building element.

Note: Electric, gas, oil, water, and drainage facilities are solely visually examined, and the corresponding accredited specialists need to be appointed.
